Our mission is to provide you with the most authentic Lebanese cuisine as it may taste on the streets of Beirut.
Our menu items originate from the Mediterranean basin. While it is nearly impossible to serve every dish that originates from that area, we have selected a handful of popular, delicious, and familiar items to share with our customers. Some of these items fall under the umbrella of “Shawarma” which comes from the Turkish term “rotates”.
What is Shawarma?
Shawarma stands for any meat that is assembled on a large horizontal or vertical skewer “spit” that slowly rotates next to a heat source. This setup allows the meat to cook slowly while facilitating the complete absorption of the spices, creating a unique flavor
Recipes may vary from one region to another. Shawarma is most popular in the eastern Mediterranean, Turkey (doner), Greece (gyros), Mexico (pastor brought to Mexico by Lebanese immigrants in the 1920s), North Africa, Europe, and Central Asia. We bring you the Lebanese recipe for chicken and beef that we grew up loving with the hope that you do the same. This combination of a wrap, fries, and a soda is served almost identically every day on the streets of Beirut and is enjoyed by millions daily.
